Education Funding & Reform

Bryan will fight to ensure every child gets the same high-quality education he wants for his own children.

Bryan will fight to ensure every child gets the same high-quality education he wants for his own children. As the father of three school-aged children, Bryan understands how important good schools are to families, communities, and Pennsylvania’s future.

For too long, Harrisburg has failed to fully fund public education, forcing local homeowners to make up the difference through rising property taxes. Bryan will fight to bring more education funding back to our local schools to have the resources they need while easing the burden on working families and seniors.

Bryan’s priorities include:

  • Fully funding public schools and implementing the Basic Education Funding Commission’s plan to close Pennsylvania’s multi-billion-dollar funding gap.

  • Reducing reliance on property taxes so homeowners are not forced to carry the cost of Harrisburg’s failures.

  • Supporting teachers and school staff through better pay, recruitment incentives, loan forgiveness, and retention programs.

  • Expanding career and technical education to prepare students for good-paying jobs and skilled trades.

  • Reforming charter school funding to ensure taxpayer dollars are spent fairly, transparently, and on services students actually use — not inflated costs that take much needed resources from public schools.

  • Improving school safety and facilities by investing in counselors, mental health resources, security improvements, and modern school buildings.

  • Increasing special education funding so every student receives the support they deserve.

Bryan believes strong public schools and property tax relief go hand in hand. By making Harrisburg meet its responsibilities, Pennsylvania can strengthen schools while protecting local taxpayers.
